Hello 31 and 26 Goodbye 15 / Stitching

It's hard to get us all together, so when we do all get together, we try and make the most of it. We chose Harry's Savoy Grill to celebrate our 31st anniversary (March), Matthew's 26th birthday (June) and paying off our 15-year mortgage (April).

I'm also celebrating a finish, finally!

and a new start - Darling Buds of May from Blackbird Designs

My interest in stitching has been pretty slim lately.

I've been more interested in knitting.

And Bernie's interest in stitching and knitting has been very, very slim.

I've never had a cat that was a snuggler, so of course, I can't turn him down. Not that he gives me a choice - he just settles in without any discussion.

Hope your week is off to a great start. We are having a rare sunny day today -- yay!!!

Congratulations to everyone - those are most-definitely celebration-worthy events! and your stitching is lovely as always. But I'm curious about your knitting - what's capturing your attention?

Lots to celebrate! So great! Love your stitching. Sounds like you're turning to knitting too. I miss stitching sometimes, but it hasn't stopped the knitting!

How wonderful to have so many exciting things to celebrate, Penny! I hope this trend continues for the rest of the year for you and your family :)

I LOVE that BBD Spring Fever and have no idea why I keep putting off stitching it. I purchased the chart when it first came out, along with the threads and fabric... really need to take the plunge! Yours is just lovely and your new WIP looks so pretty, too.

Kitty snuggles--I sure miss them. We haven't had a cat in 10 years now, but ours was a big snuggler (not to mention a BIG cat at nearly 20 pounds :)
