Takes A Licking And Keeps On Ticking

I won't go into gruesome details because it would probably devolve into an ugly crying fit. A few weeks ago, I was involved in an accident that involved falling lumber. Sounds bizarre because it really is. It took a portion of my scalp and left me with a  concussion, and bruises from head to toe. I have to avoid the mirror at all times because I can't bear to look at myself. I haven't been able to look at a computer screen or sit under a bright stitching light for very long at a time or my head feels like it will fall off. And even writing this little bit has taxed my poor brain which feels stuffed full of cotton. Because somehow May is almost over I wanted to share this little design recently finished.
May Word Play
With Thy Needle & Thread

The weather is finally cooperating, and I'm hoping to feel well enough to get into my garden very soon.

My daughter and son-in-law recently went to St. Croix to celebrate their anniversary which meant some time with my grand-kitties.

As you can see, Nya, the little one, was none too happy about Kahlua getting some lap time with my son. It's funny how jealous she is. Reminds me of human siblings. : )

I'm hoping to visit blogs little by little and get caught up with all that has been going on. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness! That's terrible! Were you in a store and a stack let loose? I'm assuming wherever it happened there were others able to get help. Doesn't make it any easier to deal with but it sounds like you could have suffered more injuries. Rest! Hope to hear you are feeling better soon.

Oh, Penny, how terrible! It's funny, I was just thinking about you this morning and now I am reading about your accident. I do hope you recover fully, completely, and quickly.

Your May finish is so sweet--I've always meant to stitch that one myself--oh well, maybe next year!

Sending you a gentle hug and praying your poor head--take care now!!

Oh that sounds just awful. I sure hope you recover soon. Life can really throw out the curve balls sometimes.

Love your little sampler done under duress. I can't even look at stitching when I'm feeling physically unwell.

Have a nice Memorial Day weekend!

Oh Penny! I'm so so sorry this happened to you! How horrible! I hope you are feeling better by now. I'm the kind who is awful with sickness or something like what you've been through -- I'm just so awful at being unwell. Hang in there. I hope the cat sitting cheers you up. Love your stitching finish -- it's beautiful. I've always loved those designs.

Oh my, Penny, this all sounds so so terrible. I feel so sorry for you. A concussion is really something serious and you usually need some time to feel well again. I hope this will soon be the case for you. Just take it easy and be careful with what you do. And I hope that you are able to enjoy your garden now that it has become a bit warmer.
