Margaret Randolph

Looks as crooked as a dog's hind leg in this picture.

Margaret Randolph
The Scarlet Letter

And there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it. I feel like something the cat dragged in and just don't feel up to fiddling with it. I had promised pictures of some of my recent stitching acquisitions, but they will have to wait. Our crazy weather wheel stopped on 87 degrees today which has only added to my misery. And part of my day was spent trying to toll these two back home.

They (Victoria on the left and Rio on the right) are firm believers that the grass is greener in the neighbor's field. They also like to visit their old stablemate, Sally. Sally decided that she had a thing for a little pony that lives down the road and left home one day never to return. The neighbor says she is no bother and doesn't mind having her there.

My sweet son found my book list and ordered the top two on the list. He says they are a gift in return for my chauffeuring him around when his truck was in the shop. I know several people recommended the audio version of The Tsar of Love and Techno, but well, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I guess I will just have to struggle through the pronunciations.

Some recent library loot.

I've finished After the Parade and am currently reading Mink River, which seems to either rate five stars or one star - heavier on the five stars, though. So, I guess I will either really love it or maybe not so much.

Now I'm going to crawl back in bed with my furry cuddle bug Lola and hope to feel better soon. Thank you for visiting!

So sorry to hear you're under the weather too. I think I'm almost better after almost a month of being ill, but it just won't leave me alone. Sigh. Hope you recover faster! Love your Margaret Randolph! I find lots of times when I take pictures, the same thing happens to me -- the piece looks crooked on top but not at the bottom. I never understand what I'm doing wrong. lol! Hope your horses have straightened out and you are feeling better soon.

Oh Penny, so sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. Some of these viruses seems to be very persistent this year. My husband was dealing with a bronchitis for more than 5 weeks, mine was over much faster. I hope that resting will help and you will soon feel better.
How sweet of your son to order these books from your wish list for you. And wow, such a great book haul from the library. I still haven't found my reading mojo but it must be the weather, lol. Too cold for sitting in the garden and read.
Your Margaret Randolph looks gorgeous. What a finish. I love how the blue color just pops out in this sampler.

Oh, I didn't realize you had horses, Penny! Do you live on a farm? I would imagine you get lots of exercise with those two beauties :)

Your newest sampler is just lovely--all the blues and golds are wonderful. I sometimes have issues with my photos looking crooked, too, especially if it is a bigger finish.

Glad to see you are an avid library user :) And how nice that your son was so considerate--that is such a sweet thank you. They do surprise us sometimes, don't they :)

Hope you feel better soon--it is miserable here today. Rainy and cold... Wish I had a good excuse to crawl into bed! Take care now...

I hope you feel better soon - being sick when it's warm out is the worst (well, unless you have a lovely pile of books to read!). like other readers said, I had no idea about the horses...hope they'll be better behaved, at least until you're back to 100%!

Penny, so sorry that you are feeling unwell - I had the bug a few weeks ago and it was nasty, nasty, nasty - burrowing back under the covers with Lola sounds like a grand plan to me. Your finished sampler looks so pretty, love the blues and oh what fun to own horses - I bet you love them to bits, do you compete with them or just ride for fun? Get better soon, hugs, Kaye
