Distracted

By...you guessed it...scary medical things. It seems my husband has developed a condition that needs surgery as soon as possible. He wants to wait until after the holidays, even though he has been told it could become an emergency. Between hoping everything behaves and waits, and choosing a surgeon it has been a very stressful couple of weeks. I really expected to have a finish to share, but instead will have to settle for a progress picture.

Holly by Notforgotten Farm

Ha ha, and once again it is raining today, so not a very good picture.

I am so loving our weather! Much more pleasant running around without having to bundle up. Of course with these warm temperatures there is no snow in the forecast, so I will have to be content with this
Lola knows what to do on dark dreary days, and I'm having to fight the urge to join her.
But, I've procrastinated long enough...it's time to finish my cleaning. I will be back next week, hopefully with a few finishes to share. Thank you for taking time to visit!

Lots of prayers for your husband, and for you too. It's hard to do anything, including stitching, when you are stressed.

That's a lot to deal with over the holidays. Sending good thoughts your way. Hope a little stitching can help keep you calm.

Holly is so pretty. I am sorry to hear about your husband. My back was the same kind of scary thing. I am thankful everyday that I am not in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. I will keep you both in my prayers.

I am sending lots of positive thoughts to your husband and to you, Penny. Hope everything goes well.

Nice progress picture of your project. WE also have spring weather with rain and sun - but I prefer this to snow, lol.

How quickly our lives can change... I do hope and pray all will be well with your husband, Penny. I'm sure your whole family is quite worried. I wish you luck in finding a surgeon your husband feels comfortable with--that is such a difficult decision.

Our weather has been dreary and rainy, too--hard to get decent photos, that's for sure! But, your WIP is darling and I hope you can game some measure of calm by finishing her up this week.

Wishing you and your family all the best as you wait for the surgery... Merry Christmas!

Thinking of you and your husband Penny.

Love your WIP.

I wish the temperatures were more festive! We are having mild weather over here too and I hate it! Can't wait for some frosts and snow if we get any!

Love Lola's picture so sweet.
I am a big fan of Not Forgotten Farm, have a few patterns just have not gotten to them soon very soon.
I think snow globes are so romantic, they remind me of simpler times.
