Eliza Poole and Anne Wilson 1831

Hello everyone! I've been taking advantage of some calm time, and recently finished a few things, starting with the Eliza Poole Sampler by Stacy Nash Primitives.

I discovered Tina Woltman's designs on Facebook. They're small, simple, and I love them.

I actually began crocheting this blanket by Katie Hanken last summer. The size is just right for an old lady with hot flashes. :)

Thankfully, Lola is now down to insulin once a day. For her sake and mine, I'm really hoping that her numbers are good enough at her next visit to come completely off of it. Apparently, cats don't like diets any more than humans do. She greets me at the bedroom door in the morning, follows me through the house and has developed a voice after many years of silence. I have had to become very hard-hearted and learn to ignore her pitiful little face and frequent, vocal requests for food. :) Here are a couple of after-meal pictures.

I seem to have fallen very behind with my commenting. Issues with blogger and my email didn't help matters, so I'm still trying to get caught up little by little. I apologize if I have missed responding to any comments or emails. I really appreciate everyone's kind comments and want to welcome my new followers too. Thank you for visiting!

Love all your work, you Boo Boo's pictures are adorable, we put our cat on a diet and give her food four times a day now instead of two, she thinks she is getting more food, it took a little time but now she is used to it,
We used to give her a quarter cup in the morning and a quarter cup in the evening , we give her less food now but in smaller doses then before and less then the amount we gave her with two feedings she is losing weight.
Good luck with your cat.

Like them both! I think I miss a lot not being a Facebooker. Guess even 4 leggers have trouble with diets.

Very pretty finishes, Penny. Nice blankie! Poor fur baby, but good news about the better health -- and we understand about the diet. My Pixie will stand at my feet, looking pitiful, even when she's NOT hungry!

Eliza Poole is such a nice sampler. Great job on the finish. And Anne Wilson is such a sweet little piece. I'm really developing a taste for prim!

The crocheted blanket looks so nice on that sofa with your cute kitty. Hope she continues to improve.

What a sweet finish, Penny--I just love Stacy's designs. I have two of her Hollyberry Farms charts in my stash, but have yet to start them. I'm so glad you're finding some free time to stitch again this summer :)

Love the shade of blue in your blanket--and, of course, the photos of our dear Lola. Glad she is responding well to the insulin and I hope she continues to improve...

Enjoy your weekend!
