The World Is Back On Its Axis...Temporarily

Going back to school has sure put a stop to a lot of things. :) It has been a pretty drastic change for me. For four VERY LONG months, everything I enjoy took a backseat to school. I guess it was worth it, as it resulted in four A's. For my sanity's sake though, I need to figure out how to keep the things I enjoy in my life, and do what I need to for school. There must be a way? As much as I hate schedules, I'm hoping that maybe that is the secret to having it all. Delusional probably. :)

I've been on break since the 15th of December and I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed it!!! My son and I took a quick trip to North Carolina to visit my daughter, future son-in-law and my grandkitty (their demon cat), Kahlua.

She really is a sweet little cat. :)

After a whirlwind Christmas, I was able to settle down and do what I've been waiting to do for a long time. :) Stitch!

Hannah Cummins by With My Needle - ignore the fuzz and cat hair. :)

Hopefully, I can finish this before I go back to school on the 15th. I've enjoyed the instant gratification of some smaller finishes too.

Good Tidings to You by The Sampler Girl

Dec. 25th Cupboard Hanger by Pineberry Lane

August Word Play by With Thy Needle and Thread. I love the little garden girl!

Having no time to stitch hasn't kept me form ordering some new things. :) The Country Sampler always sends your order so nicely packaged.

I couldn't wait to order Christmas at Hollyberry Farm!

Another thing I have really missed - READING!

I finished A Reliable Wife and am currently reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

My world really has seemed to be back on its axis for the last few weeks. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs once again and really am going to try and figure out how to maintain this once I go back to school. I've missed my old life terribly! :)

I really appreciate you taking the time to visit and hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!

Awesome job on the grades! It's a tuff balance, but I am sure you can put one or two things in the schedule. We'll be around. Happy New Year!

It certainly was a hard time without your needlework and you books but the As you got make up for it. Congratualtions! Maybe you can change your schedule a bit now that you are used to it so that you can squeeze in a bit of stitching from time to time.
Very nice new finishes and great new stash!

Great accomplishment - congratulations. Maybe you can carve out a couple of hours each week, or devote one (or half) Saturday a month to enjoy stitching?? Just keep in mind that school won't last forever, but your stash will wait for you!

Hey Girl!!
So glad to see an update from you. You are doing amazing in school, Yahoo! All that worrying that you were doing before you started.
How was NC? I hope that you enjoyed it.
Lovely stitching and stash. I hope that you find a way to balance everything in the new year.

I'm amazed that you found to do any stitching at all with such a heavy schedule! Just love your pretty ornaments and the August Word Play. I'm working on January's now--such darling little designs, aren't they?
Christmas at Hollyberry Farm is on my birthday list for next week--hope the guys get it for me.

Enjoy the rest of your break and best of luck with your next semester's classes :)
