It Seemed Like Such A Good Idea...

It really did. :) But it was really like trying a new recipe the night you are expecting company.

The design is Sweet May Flowers by Threadwork Primitives.

I really had quite a few hateful feelings towards this little project. It's one of my gifts to my mother for Mother's Day. I'm pretty sure she will be kind, as she is used to my shortcomings. Starting way, way back. :)

I've made a little progress -

I'm well on my way to killing this poor thing.

Any advice cheerfully accepted. :)

Finally Goldilocks (Lola) visiting the bears. Actually, I think she may have been looking for Vinny.

Thank you to all who take time to visit. I appreciate it so much. Life has been extremely hectic lately, so many apologies if I have overlooked any emails. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

Your needlework is beautiful! Aren't we always the most critical of ourselves? Your Mom will love it!

How is Vinny doing?

Your African Violet looks a lot better than mine do--I'm getting ready to throw them out and get new ones!!

Thank you for the sweet words on my stitching, Barb!
Vinny is still being Vinny. He is so sweet though that it is hard to be too upset with him. He just requires a lot of watching. :)

Hey Penny!
I am sure that your Mom will love it. It is a wonderful finish.
I love the progress on your sampler. I can't help you with the African violet :( I have one that looks worse than yours.
I hope that you have a wonderful Sunday and that things slow down a little for you.

Love the little bluebird charm.

I'm hopeless with plants so no help here :)

I love your mom's Mother's Day gift! I think it looks great. Your African Violet looks good! I wish I could offer you some help, but let's just say that I bought a book called "Houseplants for Dummies"--and then misplaced it. I do have some hardy houseplants that have survived my ministrations--how, I'm not sure--but they are hanging in there. Maybe google African Violets and see what they say? There are also you tube videos. I followed one about how to care for an orchid--and then killed it. Ahem. ...
