A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That

Once again, I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read my neglected blog and leave a comment. It means so much to me!
Nothing here today will even come close to all of the beautiful Christmas stitching I've seen on other blogs. I'm not a picture fancier upper either - yet. Something to practice in the coming year.

A few Christmas finishes - Ignore the shadow. :)

This second tiny little thing is a very unfinished ornament

A couple of non Christmas finishes -

This is a piece I stitched for my mother so long ago, I can't even remember - so long ago, it was done on aida cloth. Bad daughter I am, my aunt had it framed for her recently.

It's funny, in reading other blogs, to see that cats everywhere seem to get up to the same mischief regarding Christmas trees. Here is Hobbs waiting her chance to chew/eat the tree.

A pretty poor picture of our tree, already partially un-decorated by the cats, and to complete the look, my basket of knitting and various cords. Believe it or not, this picture was taken in a dark room.

And finally, this little fellow is headed to Australia. After almost having an emotional breakdown in the post office, I wish I was going with him.

I haven't been feeling well lately, and I'm a little behind in my reading and commenting on blogs - trying to catch up.
Wishing everyone a happy holiday season! :)

Wonderful finishes! I really love them! What is that first one again? I should know but I don't. And the ornament -- love it! I guess we're lucky with Mia -- she hasn't been in or up the tree at all. Just gotten herself sick. lol!

Such pretty finishes, Penny--I really love the first one and it's colors. Oh, that Hobbs looks like he is really mischievous--love his "glowing" eyes!! Hope he leaves your tree alone now-it looks lovely...so full and nice!

Love your stitching...the first sampler will always be one of my favorites. We are so lucky here...kitty just likes to lie under the tree and leaves everything alone.

You certainly have been busy with your needle, Penny! All of those finishes are beautiful! Hobbs looks like he can't wait to steal more ornaments, it's a good thing for kitties that they're so adorable, it helps them get away with so much! Your sock monkey is super cute!

So sorry that you have been feeling unwell. Your tree is lovely as is your stitching. Your banner picture makes me feel that I want to wrap up warm and walk over that bridge and explore the wood.

Wishing you a blessed and joyous Christmas and a happy New Year, may it bring you gifts of joy, health and happiness (and lots of stitching time

That little monkey is adorable!!

I love all of your finishes. I forgot that I stitched the GH Pennsylvania Christmas sampler--I need to get that framed! I'm trying to do more seasonal things with all my regular samplers. Lovely work!

Wishing you & yours a very happy -- and healthy! -- Christmas!

Who is the designer/pattern name for your little unfinished ornament, it is just adorable! Might have to hunt one down to add to my stash. Your sock monkey is cute, I have my mother's original sock monkey, stuffed with pantyhose material. I have to tell, I like sock monkeys, but the GIANT sock monkey in the Toyota commercials, creeps me right out. Weird!

Holy you are enjoying this holiday season. Hoping for snow by Christmas. Unseasonable green for Maine this year.

Keep on stitching. P.J.
